Combo gitarowe to wzmacniacz i kolumna w jednym. Comba gitarowe dzielą się głównie na wersje lampowe oraz tranzystorowe. Dobierając moc wzmacniacza lampowego i tranzystorowego nie możemy porównywać ich 1:1, gdyż głośność wzmacniacza lampowego jest 2-3 krotnie większa od wzmacniacza tranzystorowego przy takiej samej mocy. Następnie dobieramy combo do rodzaju gitary (combo basowe, akustyczne i do gitary elektrycznej) każde z nich będzie miało odpowiednią charakterystykę. Możemy również wybrać combo które posiada wbudowane efekty, metronom, podkłady, daje możliwość bezprzewodowego podłączenia z telefonem i wiele innych dodatkowych funkcji, co czyni je najbardziej powszechnie wykorzystywanym nagłośnieniem gitary.
