Yamaha YDP-S36B – Compact Digital Piano for the Home

The Yamaha YDP-S36B from the legendary Arius series is a digital piano that combines over 100 years of Yamaha’s experience in musical instrument manufacturing with modern digital technologies. This compact instrument was designed specifically for pianists who wish to enjoy the full sound of a concert grand piano in the comfort of their own home, even in smaller spaces such as apartments or student rooms.

Product Features

The instrument is equipped with 88 keys featuring Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) action, which reproduces the authentic feel of playing an acoustic piano—heavier keys in the lower registers and lighter keys in the upper registers. The Yamaha CFX Concert Grand sound, one of the most highly regarded concert pianos in the world, has been precisely digitized to offer unparalleled depth and musical expression. VRM Lite technology simulates the physical properties of string and damper resonance, creating a natural, vibrating sound characteristic of acoustic instruments.

Professional Sound in a Compact Cabinet

Despite its sleek, compact design, the Yamaha YDP-S36B offers a powerful sound system consisting of two 8W amplifiers and two 12 cm speakers with diffusers. This configuration ensures a rich, full sound that fills any room without the need for additional audio equipment. 192-note polyphony guarantees that even the most demanding pieces with numerous overlapping notes sound perfect without note cutoff.

The instrument offers 9 different voices, allowing you to choose from concert grand piano, electric piano, organ, strings, and harpsichord sounds. This means the Yamaha digital piano is suitable not only for classical repertoire but also for pop, jazz, and contemporary music. The Dual function allows two voices to be layered simultaneously, creating rich, layered sounds.
