The successor of Motif and DX - MONTAGE
Instruments made in the Motion Control Synthesis Engine technology combine two legendary sound modules: AWM2 (based on the subtractive synthesis method, using waveform samples) and FM-X (a modern module, based on the FM synthesis method). Both sound engines can be freely zoned and layered within eight elements in one Performance setting. The Motion Control function allows you to create sounds impossible to create with previous versions of synthesizers.
This instrument is Yamaha's departure from what came before.
