Turbosound TQ10 – 10″ Full-Range Loudspeaker
The 2-way, full-range TQ10 is a passive, 10-inch loudspeaker system with a 1600 W power handling, perfectly suited for a wide range of speech and music sound reinforcement applications. Designed to work seamlessly with Lab Gruppen amplifiers and loudspeaker management systems, the TQ10 delivers optimal performance in FOH, side fill, and delay line applications.
The TQ10 is equipped with a 10-inch neodymium low-frequency driver with a low-mass voice coil for improved transient response, and a 1.4-inch neodymium high-frequency compression driver with an aluminum diaphragm mounted on a rotatable 80° horizontal and 30° vertical exponential horn paired with a Dendritic Plane Wave Transformer (DPWT) waveguide. All drivers are matched to an internal passive crossover within a reflex-type enclosure. The connection panel on the rear includes 2 Neutrik speakON* NL4 connectors for input connections and linking additional enclosures.
Finished in a highly durable, semi-matte black paint, the enclosure is made of 15 mm (5/8″) plywood and features a robust, powder-coated, fabric-wrapped perforated steel grille. Multiple threaded mounting points allow for mounting and suspending in any orientation. An optional swivel bracket and suspension bracket are also available. The TQ10 also has dual 35 mm pole sockets for standard mounting and an integrated handle for convenient transport.
Custom Drivers, Waveguides, and Horns
Turbosound is renowned worldwide for designing and building some of the most iconic loudspeakers and subwoofers. We take great pride in maintaining that reputation, using only drivers, waveguides, and horns designed and built by us to our demanding standards. The coherent phase response of our dendritic waveguide has been part of our premium design approach for the past two decades, with the TQ series featuring a refined curved dendritic waveguide combined with a new, rotatable 80° x 30° horn for precise high-frequency dispersion across the bandwidth.
Integration with Lab Gruppen PLM+
With the increasing complexity of modern sound systems, seamless integration with Lab Gruppen PLM+ is a prerequisite for the TQ series from Turbosound. Our engineers have meticulously designed a series of presets to allow users to achieve maximum possible performance and system coherence. FIR filters will be supported in future Lab Gruppen platforms.
Acoustic Simulation Tools
EASE GLL libraries are provided for the predictive software EASE Focus 3, which is available for free download. This allows for accurate calculation of both acoustic coverage and the choice of suspension point to tilt and aim the loudspeaker cluster at the desired angle.
