This is a digital wireless set consisting of the SLXD1 bodypack transmitter with the WL185 lavalier condenser microphone and the SLXD5 portable receiver, operating in the frequency range of 470 - 514 MHz.

The SLX-D digital wireless system offers users more channels than the SLX, intelligent charging options, and streamlined operation in critical moments. It is ideal for video filming, as well as reporting and broadcasting applications. The transmitters operate on 2 standard AA batteries or an optional lithium-ion rechargeable battery with a dual or single charging station. The receiver has two 3.5mm outputs – for monitoring sound with headphones and an output with switchable line or microphone level.

What is a replaceable capsule? All Microflex series microphones use replaceable capsules (sold separately), meaning you can switch between cardioid, supercardioid, and omnidirectional condenser cartridges simply by screwing them into the top of the microphone.
