The SYSTEM-500 synthesizer consists of five Eurorack modules that can be combined and matched in any combination to create your desired Roland modular synthesizer. Each module is completely analog and has been designed to ensure maximum compatibility with the world of modern synthesizers and effects processors. The SYSTEM-500 synthesizer is a compact, powerful system that opens up enormous possibilities for sound design and musical exploration.
540 Dual Envelope Generator + LFO
Module 540, a Dual Envelope Generator with an LFO (Slow Waveform Generator) is a multi-purpose modulation source. The module has two independent ADSR envelope sections (Rise Time, Fall Time, Essential Level, Fade Time) that generate variable voltages for the control of other Eurorack synthesizer modules such as generators, filters and amplifiers. Each section can be controlled externally, internally, or manually using dedicated slots for each envelope, as well as the inverted output.
In addition, module 540 has a voltage tunable Free Waveform Generator (LFO) with five output waveforms. The control panel elements adjust the frequency and delay time of the LFO. Delay time and LFO reset can be triggered with envelope 1 or 2.
