The SYSTEM-500 synthesizer consists of five Eurorack modules that can be combined and matched in any combination to create your desired Roland modular synthesizer. Each module is completely analog and has been designed to ensure maximum compatibility with the world of modern synthesizers and effects processors. The SYSTEM-500 synthesizer is a compact, powerful system that opens up enormous possibilities for sound design and musical exploration.

572 Phase shifter + delay + LFO

Module 572 is a time-based multi-effect module. It includes a five stage phase shifter, an analog delay line, a voltage controlled gated delay line and an LFO. The phase shifter has panel controls designed to shift the frequency and resonance depth which can create an analog effect ranging from very subtle to very clear. The delay line also has an independent potentiometer, designed to adjust the delay time and resonance (or feedback) to create the small delays used in CHORUS effects. Both the phase shifter and the delay line can be modulated using the 572's own LFO or external voltage, and have the ability to adjust the depth of the effect (direct signal to signal after effect ratio) from the control panel or external voltage.

The LFO section has a potentiometer for frequency control and normal and inverted output sockets. The gated delay line has potentiometers to adjust the threshold, delay time, and gating time to modify input gating signals from other modules.
