Professional Sound Quality and Wide Stereo Imaging The PreSonus Eris E66 studio monitors stand out with their incredible detail and wide stereo image. Thanks to the unique MTM (midwoofer-tweeter-midwoofer) configuration, also known as the D'Appolito setup, these monitors offer excellent off-axis response and superb directional characteristics. This design ensures consistent, balanced sound across the entire frequency range and provides a wide, detailed stereo field.
Key Features of PreSonus Eris E66 Wide and Detailed Stereo Imaging Traditional two-way designs can produce early signal reflections, but the E66 solves this problem by placing a 1.25-inch silk dome tweeter between two 6.5-inch midrange drivers. The two smaller drivers work together to minimize phase displacement, resulting in an exceptionally detailed stereo image.
MTM Configuration for Consistent Sound The E66 monitors are equipped with two midrange drivers that emit sound as a single wave. This allows the monitors to maintain high dynamics and power while minimizing the sonic inconsistencies typical of traditional designs.
Kevlar Drivers for Transparent Sound The special low-frequency Kevlar drivers in the E66 provide a very consistent dispersion pattern, resulting in cleaner and clearer sound. The material and construction of the cones reduce the amount of reflected sound, ensuring transparent and consistent audio.
