The MXL 990 turned the home recording world upside down. What's more, it turned out that it also works great in a professional recording studio. Combining a low price with rich equipment and great sound, the MXL 990 has gained immense popularity in the world and in Poland. In 2003, when it was introduced for sale in our country, it won all possible prizes and honors in trade magazines and on internet portals. It is said to be the most popular condenser microphone in Poland!
The MXL 990 is a professional product - the microphone is equipped with a gold-plated diaphragm with a diameter of 20mm and a symmetrical output based on circuits with FET transistors.
The Essential version of the MXL 990 includes a rigid mount with a thread reducer.
We liked the MXL 990 from the very beginning with its warm, almost European sound, having little to do with the pointed, aggressive sound of some of the Far Eastern Neumann clones we tested - Estrada and Studio 9/2003.
From November 2006. The MXL 990 is equipped with internal Mogami cabling to ensure that the microphone's own noise is reduced.
