Austrian Audio jest austriacką firmą założoną w 2017 roku po zamknięciu biur AKG. Dotychczasowi pracownicy AKG postanowili stworzyć coś własnego i ambitnego. Początkowo Austrain Audio składało się z 22 byłych pracowników AKG w skład, których wchodziły osoby z działu zarządzania, akustyki, elektroniki, testów i pomiarów, projektowania mechanicznego, RF/wireless oraz oprogramowania i firmware'u. Dzięki swojemu wieloletniemu doświadczeniu, wiedzy i zdobytych umiejętnościach ta młoda firma tworzy doskonały pod względem dźwięku i inżynierii sprzęt. Z produktów Austrian Audio korzystają tacy artyści jak np. Adrian Hall, Jimmy Robberts, Thomas Lang, Mike Scott, Colin Norfield czy David Domminney Fowler.
