Kustom Cobalt 1200 is a modern bass amp head designed for demanding bass players who need massive power, flexible tone shaping and reliability in every situation. This compact amplifier delivers up to 1200 watts of peak power while maintaining a lightweight and portable design. Thanks to class D technology, it ensures high efficiency, low weight and excellent performance both on stage and in the studio.

Product features

The unit offers an extensive control section including Gain, Drive, Bass, Low Mid, High Mid, Treble and Master Volume. This allows precise tone shaping tailored to your playing style and instrument. A built-in limiter protects your signal from unwanted distortion at high volumes while preserving clarity and dynamics.

The front panel also includes a Mute switch and a -10 dB PAD, making the amplifier compatible with both active and passive bass guitars. This versatility makes it suitable for virtually any setup.

Powerful tone shaping and full control

This amplifier is engineered for musicians who demand tonal flexibility. The 4-band EQ allows detailed sound sculpting, from deep and punchy lows to clear highs and defined mids. Whether you prefer modern aggressive tones or warm vintage sounds, this amp delivers.

The Drive control adds harmonic saturation and overdrive, perfect for rock, metal or fusion styles. The balanced XLR DI output with cabinet emulation allows direct connection to mixers or audio interfaces, making it ideal for live performances and studio recording.

Additional switches such as Ground Lift and Pre/Post DI provide advanced routing options and eliminate noise issues, which is especially useful in professional environments.

Applications

This bass amp head is perfect for live performances, rehearsals and studio work. Its high power output makes it suitable for large venues and demanding stage conditions, while its compact size ensures easy transport.

It works perfectly across genres such as rock, metal, funk, jazz and pop, supporting both modern active basses and traditional passive instruments.
