Compact studio monitor with high-resolution audio.
IK's iLoud Micro monitors shocked the industry. All sound producers and engineers, regardless of experience level, were amazed at the performance of such a small setup, so IK challenged our team to take their concept even further – to design a new compact speaker that would compete with 5″, 6″ and even 8″ monitors. ″.
The result is iLoud MTM that changes everything about the sound, accuracy and convenience of reference monitors in today's modern studio.
Once you hear iLoud MTM, it will be hard for you to ever go back to traditional large speakers.
The first job of any studio monitor is to provide accurate, uncolored sound that can be trusted to ensure that your mixing decisions translate across multiple playback systems. iLoud MTM uses the most advanced DSP techniques, giving you total control over your speaker performance, giving you results simply unattainable with traditional analog designs.
The highs are neutral and defined, the mids are clean and balanced, and the lows are as balanced as ever. You can mix for hours without ear fatigue, and the work you create will translate better than ever. And of course they are loud, with a total power of 100W RMS per speaker and a maximum sound pressure of 103dB SPL, they deliver the proven loudness that the iLoud brand is known for.
iLoud Micro Monitor surprised the world with the bass performance delivered from a 3-inch speaker that was "defying physics". But iLoud MTM offers even more with a flat bass response down to an astonishing 40Hz, perfect for modern styles of music.
iLoud MTM introduces the new patent-pending PRL™ (Physical Response Linearization) system, which uses a precise model of chassis design and materials in conjunction with electromechanical measurements of real units to correct system performance in real time. The result is a stunningly "solid", balanced and defined low end that outperforms speakers up to twice the size of iLoud MTM.
Deep bass is solid and powerful - you won't believe such sound comes from such a small monitor.
Most conventional studio monitors, even high-end ones, have skewed phase response due to traditional phase-shifting crossovers and the phase shifts introduced by the drivers/enclosure. The end result is a fuzzy stereo image, blurry transients, and an overall lack of detail. iLoud MTM leverages IK's twenty years of DSP experience to offer truly phase-coherent performance across the entire usable frequency spectrum, giving you an incredibly realistic, natural sound like you've never heard.
You'll hear instruments and dialogue as if it were happening live, discover more detail in your tracks than ever before, and stop wasting hours trying to eliminate EQ issues in mixes that were never really there. Such a linear phase response is rarely found in speakers even several times more expensive than iLoud MTM, and you have to hear it to appreciate it.
iLoud MTM uses a symmetrical midrange-tweeter-midrange design with a pair of 3.5-inch high-performance woofers and a 1-inch high-resolution rear-chamber tweeter for ultra-precise, defined, point-source sound that cannot be achieved with traditional systems two-way at short distances. This means even more natural, vibrant sound where the speakers "disappear" and you can focus on the music. Ear fatigue caused by traditional two- or three-way designs where different frequencies reach the ear at different times is also minimized. This allows you to mix longer with less effort.
The iLoud MTM design also offers exceptional sound dispersion, enhancing the clarity and neutrality of what you hear.
Controlled dispersion minimizes room acoustics for even more accurate monitoring.
The end result is faster, easier mixing with better results.
What's more, this innovative design keeps monitor dimensions to a minimum, 30 to 50% smaller than comparable monitors, allowing them to be placed in even the smallest of spaces.
Instant adaptation to any room environment
Today's studios can be anywhere, from spaces designed by an acoustician to a spare room in your home. Too many loudspeaker manufacturers still build them for the perfect acoustic environment, perfect positioning and long listening distances. But many musicians simply don't have that luxury.
iLoud MTM offers built-in acoustic auto-calibration using the included ARC™ reference microphone to automatically adjust the frequency response to its position. Just set up your monitors, set the mic to your preferred listening position, press one button, and it instantly calibrates to where your ideal listening point is.
In addition, of course, you can adjust the low-frequency range and adjust the low-frequency and high-frequency characteristics to your liking.
With iLoud MTM, you can be sure that your monitoring is optimized for room acoustics, so your mixes will translate better.
The angle of inclination must be adjusted in each situation
This is often overlooked - studio monitor tweeters need to be pointed at your ears. This is even more important in modern studios as more and more musicians use monitors in very close proximity, such as on a desk next to a laptop or computer screen.
iLoud MTM has a tilting handle that not only helps to isolate it, but also allows it to be properly positioned in a wide range of configurations from 0° to 20°. That's more than most other "tilt" monitors, which often fail to achieve the required angle on a desk or other close listening setup.
iLoud MTM also has rubber feet for horizontal positioning and a bottom thread for convenient mounting on microphone stands, giving you more installation options.
Combined with a symmetrical design and consistent phase response, iLoud MTM allows for highly concentrated and accurate monitoring anywhere.
Digitally controlled for precise sound
iLoud MTM uses high-resolution audiophile algorithms and top-of-the-line analog-to-digital converters to carefully manage crossovers, filtering, time alignment, equalization, dynamics control, and auto-calibration. Completely DSP-controlled and precisely phase-matched, iLoud MTM also manages the off-axis response to deal with room reverberation.
The fruit of IK's 20 years of experience in digital signal processing, advanced signal processing helps iLoud MTM deliver sound far beyond anything in its size and class.
