Our application specialists have developed a concept of unified power amp racks featuring the latest generation of advanced Lab.gruppen power amplifiers and controllers, produced by market leaders. These power amp racks can be easily configured to accommodate various HK Audio speaker setups by simply selecting the appropriate filter sets. The full library of filter sets is already stored in the power amplifier rack's memory.

KEY RACK 2.24

Key Rack 2.24 is a lightweight, compact rack at three rack units tall. It's equipped with the groundbreaking IPD 2400 amplifier/controller (2 x 1200 W at 4 Ω), produced by the Swedish specialist Lab.gruppen.

With two IPD 2400 devices, integrated power distribution, and LoadLibrary, you get an astonishingly efficient, ready-to-use power package to drive the HK Audio LINEAR 5 LTS system.

The full library of filter sets is already stored in the power amplifier rack's memory. This unified power amp rack for professionals, versatile enough to be used with smaller and larger systems, is the key to simplifying configuration, setup, and service, as well as maximizing the operational lifespan of the equipment.

Key Rack 2.24 is user-friendly, incredibly efficient, and exceptionally cost-effective, complete with an elegant remote control for operation via computer or iPad.

Precisely tuned for rendering speech in the key frequency range from 100 Hz, the L5 112 X/XA is predestined for use as a mid/high-frequency unit for covering long distances. Such applications don't require a huge amount of low-end amplification, so HK Audio opted for a clever, space-saving enclosure that is angled, surprisingly compact, and equipped with a 60° x 40° CD horn for optimal directivity.

Capable of handling significant gain before feedback, this versatile enclosure can even serve as a powerful stage monitor.

LINEAR 5 112 F/FA and LINEAR 5 115 F/FA

These are two extremely versatile full-range models.

Just two L5 112 F/FA units mounted on speaker stands can provide true full-range coverage. L5 115 F/FA delivers a rich low-frequency bass response that will satisfy even the most demanding professional DJs. Both models feature an asymmetrical, rotatable horn with constant directivity (60°-90° x 55°), providing wide near-field coverage combined with long-range capability. Variable EQ settings allow you to tailor the frequency response: simply flip a switch to transform these full-range speakers into potent upper units for LINEAR subwoofers in small to medium rooms.

They must have very large mouths and deep enclosures to accommodate the horn throat, making the enclosures huge. Furthermore, there's a lot of immovable property inside the horn. These surfaces cause resonances and reflections, which manifest as distortion, particularly at high frequencies. This distortion sets a very low limit on the maximum achievable acoustic pressure.

HK Audio engineers took on the challenge of reimagining the long-range speaker and developed a groundbreaking solution: the Multicell Transformer (MCT). This ingenious invention allows for the full utilization of the physical advantages of horns and waveguides, without any drawbacks. The openings of nine tubular channels form a linear array, with sound traveling through channels of varying length to achieve different delay times. This results in perfect vertical curvature and a highly precise projection pattern of +5°/-25°.

Thanks to these exceptional MCT properties, performance on par with comparable horns and waveguides is achieved in a fraction of their size. This revolutionary advancement in technology is the key to building remarkably small and streamlined speakers.
