Slash "AFD" Les Paul Performance Pack is a complete guitar set for beginners and professionals alike. The package includes a Les Paul Special II guitar designed in collaboration with Slash, in the classic Appetite Amber color, a durable case, a two-channel 15W Slash "Snakepit" amplifier with full tone control and headphone output, signed Slash Dunlop Tortex picks, and free access to online guitar lessons from eMedia.
Slash is one of the most well-known endorsers of Epiphone and a respected member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, primarily for his unique solo contributions with Guns N' Roses. As a guitarist with significant experience, his mission, much like Epiphone's, is to create professional instruments with high utility features in a price range accessible to every musician. The Slash AFD Performance Pack offers the classic sound of the artist, available to both beginners and professional musicians.
Appetite for Rock
Slash personally oversaw the creation process of his new signature guitar, based on his original custom Les Paul. The AAA flame maple veneer is surrounded by a single-ply binding, and the back, sides, and neck are finished in a beautiful dark cherry color, just like the prototype. Both the body and neck are made of mahogany, following Slash's classic choice. The neck, bolted to the body, has a rosewood fretboard with acrylic dot inlays. The headstock is adorned with the "Snakepit" logo (gold silk-screen) and the Epiphone logo (silver). The truss rod cover has a classic bell shape and a white "Les Paul Special-II" logo. Tuning is facilitated by a set of die-cast, 14:1 ratio tuners.
Classic Zebra Coil Pickups
The roaring sound of the guitar is achieved through new Ceramic Plus Zebra Coil Humbucker pickups with ceramic magnets, inspired by the legendary and rarely encountered pickups from the Les Paul 50's model. Sound control is provided by Volume and Tone knobs, as well as a pickup configuration switch. An interesting innovation in this model is the integrated Shadow E-Tuner, built into the bridge pickup frame. It is powered by a single #2032 battery.
High-Quality Hardware
The guitar is equipped with precise and high-quality hardware, including a Tune-o-Matic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece, and strap buttons.
Other Kit Components
Instrument safety is ensured by the included case with the "Snakepit" logo. Three signed Dunlop Tortex picks (white, black, and purple), a guitar strap, a standard 1/4" jack cable, and access to online guitar lessons prepared by eMedia are also included.
Slash "Snakepit-15" Amplifier
Most professional guitarists will confirm that a low-powered amplifier with a compact and well-shaped sound is the best solution for studio use. The custom "Snakepit-15" utilizes an eight-inch Electar G8 Classic-25 speaker in an open-back cabinet, providing perfect midrange response for both clean and distorted tones. Channel selection is done with a single switch. The tone control section allows modification of Bass, Middle, and Treble. Additionally, the amplifier has an auxiliary input and a headphone output.
