Głównym elementem każdego zestawu jest interfejs audio, jednakże w jego skład wchodzi również mikrofon, pop filtr, kabel mikrofonowy, a czasami również słuchawki.
Interfejs audio jest niepozornym, ale bardzo istotnym urządzeniem w pracy każdego artysty. Umożliwiają on połączenie mikrofonu bądź instrumentu z komputerem. Pozwala to na nagranie ścieżki dźwiękowej wokalu czy też instrumentu muzycznego na komputerze.
