The Katana MkII takes the popular Katana guitar amp series to the next level, adding more sounds, effects and features. New voice variations are available for all five gain options, doubling your sonic possibilities. Onboard effects categories have been expanded from 3 to 5, allowing for even better real-time processing. Usability has also been enhanced with a power input for multi-FX, updated editing software, and many other improvements.

Five Amplifier Characteristics, Ten Tones
The Katana MkII's five main amp characteristics offer everything from organic vintage tones to modern high-gain tones, plus a dedicated voice optimized for acoustic-electric guitar. The characteristics have been extended with new variants with a wider range of sound options to better match the sound.
Five Effects In One
The Katana MkII features five simultaneous effect categories, allowing you to shape your tone with the amp like on a pedalboard. Independent Booster, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb sections are preloaded with three variations each, providing 15 ready-to-play effects. Connecting to BOSS Tone Studio allows you to personalize sections with over 60 different types of effects, reorder and much more.
Full Sounds Every Time You Plug In
Powered by BOSS's Tube Logic approach, the Katana MkII delivers authentic distortion from the original tube amps, and the sound gets richer as the volume is turned up. Unlike classic tube amps, however, the Katana MkII's Power Control feature makes it easy to hit that perfect spot. Simply lower the volume as needed to enjoy inspiring amp tone anywhere from the bedroom to the stage.
Strengthen External Devices
The versatile Katana-Head MkII can be used as a dedicated amp for your favorite preamps or multi-effects. Connecting to the Power Amp In jack on the rear panel bypasses the Katana MkII's preamp and effects, allowing direct management of the Tube Logic section along with Power Control. And with BOSS Tone Studio, the input can be easily optimized for devices with a high-pass filter and adjustable gain.

One of the Katana-Head MkII's most powerful features is the ability to store your favorite amp characteristics and effect settings in Tone Setting memory for instant recall. Once you have selected a sound using the panel buttons, simply save it to the selected memory with a quick press of the button. There are eight sound settings (two banks of four) that can be easily selected from the panel. Connect external footswitches or a GA-FC controller for easy gigging.

Plug and Control
The Katana-Head speaker output supports connection to an 8-ohm or 16-ohm cabinet. The direct signal from the guitar can be simultaneously sent to the PA system or recording equipment via the line output. Advanced guitarists will appreciate the effects loop and MIDI input for easy integration with external effects and MIDI switches.
Simple Stereo
One Katana MkII sounds great, let alone two! The new Stereo Expand function makes it easy to connect two amplifiers with just one common cable. The user can control everything from the Katana MkII, with stereo compatible effects such as chorus, delay and reverb. Stereo Expand is available on all 100W Katana MkII models.
Ready To Mix Sounds
The Katana-Head MkII features a line out, USB and mic emulated phone/recording output, allowing you to send your amp's finished tones to a PA system, computer DAW or headphones for direct mixing with Air Feel Dual channel USB allows for full stereo operation with multiple Katana features - modulation, EQ, delay and reverb effects.
Compact Gig Companion
The optional GA-FC foot controller is the perfect partner for the Katana-Head MkII. It can be connected with a single cable, requires no external power and takes up little space. With six footswitches, you can directly recall Tone settings and independently turn on/off the five effect sections. The GA-FC also supports external footswitches and expression pedals with default assignments such as tap tempo, bank select, kick and effect volume. A wide variety of custom assignments are available via BOSS Tone Studio, including expression pedal control of up to three parameters at once.
Improve With BOSS Tone Studio
BOSS Tone Studio evolves with the Katana MkII amplifiers. The interface has been given a refreshed look and a number of parameters have been placed on the main screen to speed up the workflow. There is also a dedicated Pedal FX category that makes it easy to assign wah and pedal effects to the connected expression pedal. And if you own first generation Katana amps, you can import your custom patches and use them all with the Katana MkII.
