Product Description
Details
Live 11 is a fast, fluid, and flexible software for creating and performing live music. It includes all kinds of effects, instruments, sounds and creative tools - everything you need to create music in any style.

Create with Live

With Live's two modes of operation and tons of creative tools and sounds with an endless number of ways to combine them, the only limit to your music is your imagination.

Session View lets you sketch ideas quickly: play, mix and match MIDI and audio loops of different lengths and tempos without pausing the music. The arrangement view is where you organize your music in the timeline and create song sections. You can also record an arrangement directly from session view and improvise your composition.

Live offers tools that allow you to both capture ideas and discover ones you never expected. Record hardware synthesizers, software instruments, guitars, vocals, or any real-world sound. Choose the best from a variety of approaches captured in audio or MIDI and combine into your perfect composition with Live's new Comping feature. Use Capture MIDI to recall notes as you play them, turning spontaneous moments and happy accidents into music. Generate surprising melody and rhythm variations with randomization tools.

Live 11's synthesizers offer a full spectrum of sound based on wavetable, FM, analog and physical modeling architectures. A pair of sampling modules provides built-in sample slicing and time stretching, as well as multi-sampling and extensive sound shaping capabilities. MIDI effects let you manipulate your notes, and a wide range of audio effects, ranging from clean to full of character, will help you organize your mix or create a creative mess. The new devices in Live 11 include two spectral processing effects, a hybrid reverb combining algorithmic and convolutional reverbs, and six natural and physical-inspired effects that will open up completely new ways to discover Live sound.

Each edition of Live includes a basic library of sounds, with classic synths, analog drum machines, keyboards, multi-sample drums, and more. Curated Collections provide bundles containing clips, kits, and other sounds to explore themes and sounds; Live 11 adds Voice Box for experimental vocal manipulation, Mood Reel for a modern narrative setup, and Drone Lab for suspended tones and textures.

Perform with Live

On stage, you can trigger, rearrange and remix your music in real time. Take advantage of flexible MIDI mapping to configure almost every element in Live for manual control with a controller. You can design your own unique combinations of instruments and effects, and use up to 16 Macro knobs to control any number of parameters. Find the settings you like and save them as macro snapshots to create tensions, drops and instant variations during your performance.

Use Live to get the most out of your show. Control external gear, integrate with external effects or mixers. Improvise yourself, re-sampling or processing sounds played by others, all in real time. Now Live can be a dynamic part of the team - by following the pace. Live can adjust its tempo in real time while listening for incoming audio. DJs can even use Live as a timed effects module.

Connect, expand and customize
Live not only comes with everything you need, but it can also be used almost any way you want. Connect Live to any MIDI controller - even MPE-compatible hardware, which will allow you to add swing, glissand, and emphasis to individual notes in a chord, bringing subtle variations of expression or evolving sound textures to your fingertips.

Extend your setup with Ableton Link, Live's built-in technology that keeps multiple devices in perfect sync over a network connection. Link makes it easy to play together with other music apps such as Reason or Serato, as well as the ever-growing number of iOS apps and hardware integrated with Link.

Even more ingenious ways to connect and modify are possible with Max for Live, which brings the Max development environment directly to Live. You can customize many of the modules included in Live, build your own from scratch, and even hack Live's operation. You can connect Live to lights, cameras, sensors, surround sound systems, and more. Discover a world of ready-made instruments, effects, and tools created by the Max for Live community.
