Kontrolery Dj to nic innego jak sterowniki MIDI za pośrednictwem których możemy obsługiwać znane programy didżejskie tj. rekordobox, serato, traktor, virtual dj. itp... Zarówno z wbudowanym interfacem (kartą dźwiękową) jak i bez. Kontroler jest swoistą hybrydą klasycznego połączenia (2 odtwarzacze plus mikser).

Kontroler to urządzenie, które służy do profesjonalnego odtwarzania muzyki. Pozwala on DJ-owi na płynne przełączanie muzyki unikając ,,cięć’’ i niepotrzebnych przerw. Kontroler posiada wiele funkcji. Oprócz scratchowania, DJ może korzystać ze wbudowanych efektów przejść, zmieniać tony czy miksować utwory tak, że ich pierwowzór zostaje zmieniony nie do poznania.
