The DR-70D is a compact audio recorder that allows novice DSLR users to create high-quality audio recordings in parallel with their films or video shots. The recorder can be mounted directly between a tripod and the camera or on top of the camera, creating a compact setup.
With two built-in microphones, the DR-70D is immediately ready for use in typical situations. Additionally, it provides 4 combo XLR/TRS inputs that can be used to record 4 channels of audio with excellent sound quality using professional microphones. With the camera output, the stereo signal from the recorder can also be recorded on the camera to facilitate later editing, combined with the recorder's slate tone function. Conversely, you can use the camera input to monitor the camera's audio with the recorder.
