The Yamaha DTX482K from the well-known, now improved DTX series is a compact and great-sounding electronic drum kit that is perfect as an inexpensive practice kit, especially when, due to lack of space or neighbors who are not very enthusiastic about the sounds of drums, we cannot afford an acoustic drum set. It is also perfect for performances wherever there is not much time and space to set up, tune in and amplify traditional drums.

The most extensive set of the DTX402 series

The DTX482K kit is the most extensive and the best of the entire DTX402 series. It is the only one in the series to be equipped with a perfect, 3-zone snare drum pad with a silicone membrane. Its surface offers a much more realistic reflection of the sticks than less advanced sets. This makes it much easier to play precise with the right dynamics and expression control - almost like an acoustic snare drum. The DTX482K also has one more cymbal pad than the lower models.

The DTX402 module offers the sounds of 10 built-in drum, acoustic and electronic kits, and a variety of acoustic effects. You can create your own sets freely, choosing from over 400 different sounds of the highest quality.

Appearance and functionality

Yamaha knows everything there is to know about drums. This is how we created a compact electronic drum kit with no compromise on quality or tone. Adjust the comfortable position of each cymbal, snare drum, and tome pads and play in comfort. DTX faithfully recreates the nuances of drumming, including cymbal muffling and rim-shots. The heights of individual elements can be freely modified to be able to adapt them to everyone, even small children. Unlike cheaper kits, the DTX452K features a genuine Yamaha FP6110A kick pedal and redesigned drum pads, including a 3-zone snare pad with open / damped rimshots.

More enjoyable exercises

DTX has 10 integrated training functions. These practical practice solutions are only available with electronic drums. One of them is Pad Gate, which allows you to gradually develop your skills and is also intended for beginners. Its main task is to improve the drummer's sense of rhythm and timing, which are key skills in playing the drums. Another feature that will surely gain recognition among more advanced musicians is Fast Blast. It measures the speed at which the pads are struck. Moreover, DTX also has a point counting function with which you can objectively follow the development of your skills. As part of the training, we can play with built-in backing tracks in various musical styles. Use the training functions and become an even better drummer.

Simple and quick assembly of the set facilitates transport and storage of the instrument in even the most troublesome conditions. DTX402 Touch is a dedicated application for iOS and Android. It allows you to track your progress in a more accessible way and helps you with your exercises. Thanks to the Challenge Mode feature, you can practice in a much more enjoyable way. After completing all training stages, you will receive a drummer's certificate from Yamaha. The app also has an Editor function for personalizing your own drum kits. The DTX402 series is also compatible with the Rec'n'Share app. It is especially useful for practicing your favorite songs and sharing your recordings with friends over the internet.
