Legendary sounds, new paradigms
The H9000R is equipped with 1600 unique algorithms from the H8000 and H9 with over 500 presets including, among others reverbs, delays, modulations, pitch shifting and distortion. 5.1 multi-channel algorithms include halls, slabs, rooms, cabins and other surrounding spaces. The H9000R also introduces the concept of effect chains for combining any set of four effects using user-defined, flexible routing. Effect chains can be created as a channel track, guitar pedalboard, modular synthesizer with effects, etc. The H9000R's effects chain concept is similar to a steroid channel track, which allows you to combine and route any four complex algorithms as you wish. Effect chains are invaluable in quickly exploring different combinations of effects for new and inspiring sounds.
Emote - Remote control application / plug-in
The H9000R requires a Mac and Windows application to control as well as AAX, AU and VST plug-in.
Multiple audio inputs / outputs
With 96 channels of simultaneous signal processing and extensive analog and digital audio input / output, the H9000R is the perfect platform for surround sound and processing multiple audio tracks simultaneously. Audio inputs / outputs include: 8 channels of pristine analog audio, 16 channels via USB, 8 channels AES / EBU, optical ADAT and S / PDIF. Whether you use it in a live or studio setting, the H9000R offers many external control options.
MIDI In, Out and Thru. MIDI Thru allows you to daisy chain MIDI controlled devices.
2 1/4 TRS Inputs - Connect up to four pedals or four footswitches, or a combination of both.
4 USB ports - two on the front, two on the back. Possibility to connect USB MIDI controllers, save and restore presets from USB memory, turn on Wi-Fi using the included Wi-Fi adapter.
Expansion cards
The H9000R offers optional network audio I / O via 3 expansion card slots with up to 32 audio channels each.
Dante expansion card
Design based on the Dante Audinate Brooklyn II module,
Supports 32 inputs / 32 outputs at all sampling rates supported by the H9000R
Clock / Sample Rate Sources: Brooklyn II Module, Dante Network, H9000R,
AES67 support,
2 basic and 2 redundant network connections or 4 basic network connections,
Can be placed on any optional H9000R slot.
MADI expansion card
Full compliance with AES5,
Clock Source / Sample Rate: H9000R or selected MADI RX stream
Operation with 32 inputs / 32 outputs at 48kHz
Optical, coaxial or ExpressCard connectors (RME proprietary).
The H9000's display is powered by a separate ARM processor, keeping the H9000 running smoothly and responding well to use.
The basic functions of the H9000 are grouped into four mode selection buttons: SESSIONS, FX CHAINS, ALGORITHMS and PARAMETERS. User settings for sessions, effect chains and algorithms can be saved and recalled.
Scenes
Scenes are higher-level functions for controlling sequential program changes on the H9000R. This mode can be useful when using the H9000R in a live setting, such as a concert or theatrical performance, and "traversing" various pre-configured states in a specific order. For example, a lead singer in a concert may need different reverb effects and parameter settings at different times during the concert; scenes provide a quick, easy way to achieve this.
Direct I / O (direct input / output)
The Direct I / O function allows the H9000R to be used as a network interface, making the pristine H9000R analog converters available for the highest quality analog I / O. Even if you don't need any external processing that the H9000R can provide, 8 analog inputs and outputs, along with a variety of routing options, allow the H9000R to function as a network matrix switcher.
Word Clock
The H9000R can serve as the master clock of a digital system or it can obey another master clock with a sampling frequency of 44.1kHz to 96kHz.
Presets in your pocket
You can connect a standard USB flash drive to any USB port in order to save or restore the programmed settings. This feature allows presets to be moved so that they can be loaded into any H9000R, in any rack, at any location.
Network connectivity via LAN or Wi-Fi
To connect our remote control application - Emote, perform a software update, add new algorithms and etc., connect your H9000R processor to the network with an Ethernet cable or wirelessly using the included USB adapter.
Be on time
The H9000R is equipped with four quad-core ARM processors that allow you to run 16 effects algorithms simultaneously - in series or in parallel. In the future, when new, more powerful ARM chips are available, the H9000R DSP modules can be upgraded.
