This one microphone can amplify an entire orchestra beautifully. You can transfer the microphone to another instrument; just make sure you have the correct type of clip to mount it properly. The award-winning d: vote ™ series gives you a much more natural sound than any other clip-on microphone or pickup device. This condenser microphone rejects unwanted noise and picks up the true sound of your acoustic instrument.
This microphone is available in two versions:
d: vote ™ CORE 4099, Loud SPL - used to close-mike most types of instruments
d: vote ™ CORE 4099, Extreme SPL - used to close-mike extremely loud instruments such as drums and some wind instruments.
The d: vote ™ CORE 4099 also features an improved shock mount design, providing excellent isolation from handling noise and rumble. Detachable cables are available in a heavy-duty version and in a lightweight version - depending on the application - both cables are engineered to withstand the rigors of everyday use. The universal, integrated gooseneck ensures easy and repeatable assembly.
The d: vote ™ CORE 4099 comes complete with an XLR jack as an adapter. The microphone is easily connected to a wireless system through an adapter from our wide range of wireless system adapters.
The microphones can be easily removed and repositioned or transferred to other instruments. The mounting system is designed to leave no spot or scratch on your instrument. Flexible design gives a wide range of mounting and positioning options.
You can purchase one d: vote ™ CORE 4099 microphone with or without a specific instrument clip, or you can choose a kit designed specifically for rock or classic applications. There are 4- and 10-piece kits available, each with the appropriate adapters, clips and cables that make setting up on stage child's play.
The microphones in this series are available in two versions. The d: vote ™ CORE 4099, Loud SPL is ideal for use with a wide variety of instruments - from flute to guitar and everything in between. The d: vote ™ CORE 4099, Extreme SPL has a maximum SPL of 152 dB and is specially designed for drums, percussion and other very loud instruments such as the trumpet. Both versions of this microphone have a supercardioid characteristic to significantly reduce crosstalk and high feedback separation. The d: vote ™ 4099 maintains a uniform off-axis frequency response for high-energy, clear live performance.
Have your instrument choose the microphone
The d: vote ™ CORE 4099 is designed to get the best sound out of your instrument, so be sure to select the correct version. We have created clips and holders that allow mounting on many different popular instruments. Even if your instrument is not listed below, there is likely to be a solution for your needs.
For each type of instrument, we have pre-selected the following for you:
- Handle type,
- Mic type, i.e. Loud or Extreme SPL
- Mic cable type: Ø1.6 mm or Ø2.2 mm,
- XLR adapter type, ie DAD4099 (with high-pass filter) or DAD6001 (without high-pass filter).
- Each package puts you immediately ready to play your instrument with the microphone installed.
Optional gooseneck extension cord
The standard length of the gooseneck is 140 mm. An optional extension cord is also available. It increases the length of the gooseneck by approx. 50%, which helps to find a better microphone position for some instruments.
Detachable cables
On the d: vote ™ CORE 4099 series instrument microphones, the cables are detachable from the gooseneck. This makes it easier to mount the microphone on the instrument before connecting it. You can choose from a variety of cables, allowing you to customize your microphone for a specific task. Built for tougher environments, the 2.2mm cable is ideal for use in a public address system and for live concerts. The thinner, miniature 1.6mm cable is more suitable for personal mounting on instruments. Both types of cables are strong and durable thanks to the use of a Kevlar core.
