DIGITAL DELAY EFFECT ENHANCED FOR MODERN MUSICIANS
The classic BOSS DD-3 Digital Delay has been on the market since 1986, appreciated for its great sound and easy operation. With the DD-3T, we've updated the classic effect, enhanced functionality while retaining the original sound and control layout. Now you have the option to choose the tempo of the delay using the onboard switches or external switches, choosing from three beat divisions. The direct jack output has been relocated next to the main output, making it easier to connect effects or clean signals.

Classic through and through
In continuous production for over thirty years, the DD-3 has served as a delay for countless musicians. Based on the DD-2 - the world's first digital delay effect from 1983 - the DD-3 is known for its warm sound and easy operation. The sound circuitry and controls of the DD-3T are identical to the DD-3, giving you that classic vibe you know and love.
Direct exit
The DD-3T has a direct jack output like the DD-3, but has been relocated and now sits next to the main jack for easier connections. Connecting a cable to the direct output converts the main output to delay only, allowing you to send a clean signal or an effect signal to various amps for deep sound And if your amp or switcher has a parallel effects loop, simply plug into the output to mute the sound and just get the effect.
Tap Tempo
A key addition to the DD-3T is the tap tempo function for creating the rhythmic delays that are at the heart of many guitar styles. In delay mode, hold the switch for 2 seconds to toggle between bypass and tap operations. And for more control, connect an external footswitch. When the DD-3T receives a tap input, a delay of up to 800ms is available and the mode dial sets the division.
Hold function
The classic DD-3 (and previously the DD-2) has a Hold function that allows you to record sounds up to 800ms, play them simultaneously and play with them. Years later, BOSS continued to develop this concept with the Loop Station series products, which helped to develop new styles of music. The DD-3T has a Hold function just like the DD-3, however it has been named "Short Loop" to reflect its use today.
