The EVE Audio SC305 is the first 3-way studio monitor in the brand's lineup, preceding the SC307 model. It has been meticulously designed for ease of use and precision in both stereo and surround sound setups. In smaller surround systems, the SC305 excels as a center channel speaker. This monitor combines the power of three different amplifiers, providing dynamic and efficient sound that effortlessly reaches lower frequencies. Thanks to its compact size and impressive technical features, the SC305 faces virtually no competition in its class.

Construction

The core concept behind the 3-way SC305 monitor is the even distribution of frequencies across its speakers, which enhances the monitor's efficiency. One of the woofers handles sound up to 350 Hz, functioning as a "bass subwoofer." The second woofer operates as a mid-woofer, extending its range up to 3000 Hz. This division reduces the workload on each speaker, resulting in more efficient and dynamic performance.

The monitor is based on the proprietary 5-inch SilverCone woofer design, the same used in smaller EVE Audio models. Both woofers work simultaneously, extending the frequency response from 50 Hz to 21 kHz. The SC305 also features the patented RS3 AMT tweeter with a larger front plate and stronger magnet for greater efficiency. Each of the three speakers is powered by a dedicated 50 W PWM amplifier.

The SC305 is renowned for being one of the most detailed 3-way monitors in its class. Additionally, the built-in DSP section helps with optimal speaker placement, ensuring proper symmetry in your studio setup. The SC305 is also equipped with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, offering flexible connection options.

DSP System

The SMART-knob provides exact tuning to fit your specific workflow, giving you full control over the sound. The high-quality Burr-Brown A/D converter ensures pristine signal quality, while the PWM amplifiers are directly connected to the DSP, eliminating the need for additional conversion. The SC305 also includes a large, rear-facing bass reflex port without sharp edges, ensuring effective and balanced low-frequency reproduction. This results in strong, focused bass without distortion, even at high volumes.
