Shimmer reverb is one of those effects that you must first hear to realize what it is. The first shimmer was designed by legendary producers Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, and was created by applying a reverb tail to the guitar's dry signal, which was previously raised by an octave and coupled. The result is lively soundscapes that start with sensual bells and end with space travel in intergalactic spaces.
Widely used by The Edge with U2, the shimmer was adopted by a wide range of guitarists to combine huge, vibrant landscapes bursting with shiny purity. So whenever you need to add a string section with an unearthly presence, Fluorescence Shimmer Reverb is in place.
Its four controls allow you to intuitively tune the depth of your heavenly sound. The Reverb knob adjusts the length of the tail added to the clear signal for short or longer ambient resonances. Adjust the balance between the reverb tail and the guitar tone with the Mix knob, and the Tone knob sets the desired amount of flash. Finally, the Shimmer knob turns up the intensity of the crystalline angel octaves that fill the air with thick ambient tones.
Fluorescence Reverb was built to meet the hardships of the concert tour with its durable metal housing and high-class components hidden inside. The true bypass system keeps your signal free from unnecessary colorization, while the top mounted connectors allow you to fit the effect in every pedalboard.
