DYNAMIC MICROPHONE
Elegant and durable. The SM63 dynamic microphone with omnidirectional characteristics and high output signal level has been designed for professional applications where performance and appearance are a key aspect.
There are three versions of the SM63 model. They only differ in length and color. The SM63 is designed for handheld use on stage, in interviews, recording and in TV studios. The SM63L and SM63LB are the perfect choice for field interviews, sports coverage and other situations where longer microphones are desired.
The smooth and wide frequency response of the SM63 is optimized for optimal speech intelligibility. Controlled low-frequency undercutting reduces noise from the tripod and from wind blasts. The built-in second coil makes these microphones virtually immune to interference from strong magnetic fields, such as in the presence of studio lighting.
All three models use Shure's proprietary anti-shock system that reduces noise from operating the microphone. They also have a VERA-FLEXTM protective mesh, which protects against damage caused by falls from a maximum of 2 meters, and is resistant to dents, corrosion, rust and moisture. The integrated pop filter effectively reduces breathing sounds. SM63L and 63LB also have a two-stage fairing, which was designed for use in open spaces.
